Commercial Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Engineer

Location: Stockton-on-Tees and surrounding areas

We are seeking a skilled Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Engineer to join our client's global facilities management team. As a dedicated professional, you will be passionate about delivering high-quality services and ensuring the comfort and safety of commercial property occupants.

This is a full-time, permanent position covering commercial properties in Stockton-on-Tees, Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week. The role involves:

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Perform PPM and reactive maintenance on various air conditioning systems, including split systems, VRVs/VRFs, and chillers.
  2. Diagnose and repair faults on HVAC systems, ensuring minimal downtime for clients.
  3. Carry out installation and commissioning of HVAC systems when required.
  4. Undertake general fabric maintenance tasks such as basic plumbing, electrical work, and carpentry.
  5. Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns and participate in a 1-in-4 on-call rota.
  6. Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and technological advancements in air conditioning systems.
Requirements:
  1. NVQ Level 2/3 in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning or equivalent qualification.
  2. Proven experience in the maintenance and repair of air conditioning systems in commercial environments.
  3. Basic knowledge and experience in general fabric maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, and carpentry work.
  4. Full UK driving licence.
