Job Title: International Tax Manager
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced International Tax Manager to join our team at SC Johnson Professional. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for managing the statutory, insurance, and tax obligations of Europe by leading a decentralized team of Tax and Statutory Accounting (TSA) Leads across 9 countries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and develop the TSA organization in Europe, including hiring new employees, setting objectives, and conducting performance management reviews.
- Ensure timely completion and filing of all statutory reporting requirements and tax returns in Europe, working closely with Group Lead TSAs and external service providers.
- Prepare local statutory accounts and detailed analysis for local Corporate Tax returns.
- Manage the Transfer Pricing position for all applicable European entities.
- Assist the Regional Tax Director in compiling responses to tax provision work and collecting responses from TSA Leads.
- Assist the Regional Tax Director in managing local Transfer Pricing reports and intercompany reporting.
- Manage the Regional Insurance function for Europe, providing information to Corporate Insurance as needed and acting as liaison with Corporate Insurance on European matters.
- Handle queries and matters raised by external and internal auditors, as well as by tax authorities, ensuring accurate Tax entries at month and year-end.
Requirements:
- Qualified Accountant or recognized financial qualification with extensive experience of statutory reporting.
- Experience of leading and developing people in a finance department is essential.
- Knowledge of financial systems (ideally SAP), organization, and data sources necessary to answer full range of financial statement questions.
- Ability to interpret and apply statutory and tax compliance requirements in home country and other multiple jurisdictions.
