The University of Edinburgh's School of Physics and Astronomy is seeking a skilled professional to lead the development and maintenance of cloud-based data analysis services. As a Senior Research Software Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the UK's LSST Independent Data Access Centre.

The successful candidate will have experience in developing, deploying, and maintaining cloud-based data analysis services, as well as expertise in OpenStack and Kubernetes technologies. They will also have strong programming skills in Python and good software engineering practice.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Develop and maintain existing science platforms for the Gaia mission and the Legacy Survey of Space and Time (LSST).
  • Ensure the smooth operation of the UK's LSST Independent Data Access Centre.
  • Work with a team to develop and deploy cloud-based data analysis services.
