Job Title: Realty Specialist

At Cape Fox Corporation, we are seeking a highly skilled Realty Specialist to support the Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) in providing efficient real estate services for Fixing America's Surface Transportation Act (FAST-41) and other priority projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and dispose of real property for public lands programs, water projects, and general or special purpose spaces.
  • Coordinate with Tribes to facilitate FAST-41 project approvals.
  • Assist in processing applications for rights-of-way, permitting, and leases.
  • Analyze Tribal applications for consistency with BIA policies and facilitate secretarial waivers of regulations.
  • Work with Tribal applicants, National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) staff, appraisers, and federal partners.
  • Track applications in the Trust Asset and Accounting Management System (TAAMS).
  • Conduct outreach on the Environmental Review Improvement Fund Tribal Assistance Program and provide technical assistance to Tribes.
  • Review current and historical transactions, trust titles, and records, ensuring accurate reporting in Title Status Reports.
  • Ensure compliance with NEPA, Section 106, bonding, and fair market value appraisals.
  • Prepare and review contract management documentation, manage records, and ensure all data collection and reports are complete and accurate.
  • Review and assist with NEPA project proposals, Environmental Assessments, and other related documents.
  • Provide customer-focused services on trust and restricted fee lands for broadband activities.
  • Assist with site visit requests and logistical coordination for fieldwork.
  • Provide expertise on real estate services, archaeological resources, historic preservation, and paleontology.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Five (5) years of related experience.
  • Knowledge of real estate transactions and practices.
  • 25%-50% travel expected.
  • Security Clearance Requirements: Police Check, Background Investigation, and Valid Driver's License verification.
