Job Title: Asset Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Asset Engineer to join our team at Orion Group.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Participate in risk assessments, HAZOPs, and HAZIDs to ensure compliance with company policies and standards.
  • Maintain awareness of and ensure adherence to all relevant statutory and company HSE standards.
  • Provide engineering and technical solutions to well intervention challenges by collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams in well planning, preparation, peer reviews, risk assessment, and execution of operations.
  • Develop well intervention designs, programs, and end-of-well reports, and coordinate specialist inputs.
  • Conduct technical studies and apply innovative thinking to achieve positive outcomes, proposing changes and innovations with identified risks and benefits.
  • Interface with Assets and other Drilling/Wells entities to ensure Well Intervention requests are prepared promptly and accurately.
  • Participate actively in performance monitoring, analysis, and reporting.
  • Perform offshore visits as required to support offshore operations.
Requirements:
  • The job holder should be educated to degree level or similar in Mechanical or Petroleum Engineering related discipline and demonstrate ability in well servicing (and completions) with a minimum of 5 years directly relevant experience in the oil industry.
  • Will have organisational skills to prioritise and manage a heavy workload in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Will have good computer skills; familiarity with Office 365 applications would be an advantage.
  • Will possess current certification in UK Offshore Survival, MIST, and hold a current OGUK Medical Certificate.
