We are seeking an Advanced Healthcare Specialist to join our Trauma and Orthopaedic Team at Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. This role offers the opportunity to develop expertise in patient-centred clinical care, assessment, examination, diagnosis, and treatment within an agreed scope of practice.

About the Role

This trainee advanced practitioner (TAP) position is designed for individuals who want to progress their careers as experienced healthcare professionals. As a TAP, you will work under supervision to gain hands-on experience and develop advanced clinical reasoning skills, assessment techniques, and treatment planning.

Key Responsibilities
  • To successfully complete the Advanced Practitioner Degree Apprenticeship MSc programme or MSc Advanced Practice non-apprenticeship route, aligned with the Trust Framework, Health Education England, and specialty standards.
  • Develop and maintain expertise in advanced clinical competence, particularly in the speciality area of Trauma and Orthopaedics.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient care, ensuring safe referrals, discharges, and presentations in various working areas.
