Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Head of Quality Assurance and Compliance to join our team. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of leading quality assurance and compliance initiatives in a regulated adult care environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and Develop Quality Assurance Initiatives: Develop and implement an annual cycle of quality assurance activities across the organization, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Manage Quality Assurance Team: Lead a team of staff who deliver quality assurance activities, staff coaching, and manage concerns and complaints.
  • Provide Reports and Summaries: Provide accurate and coherent reports and summaries of quality assurance activities to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Interpret Legislation and Regulations: Interpret new or updated legislation, statutory guidance, and regulations to inform quality assurance processes and ensure compliance.
  • Undertake Project Work: Undertake specific project work, such as root cause analysis, investigation of critical incidents, and report and make recommendations in a timely manner.
  • Contribute to Quality Improvement Plans: Actively contribute to related processes, such as Self-Assessment Reporting and Quality Improvement Plans.
  • Sustain Relationships: Sustain and enhance key relationships with external stakeholders and third-party providers.
  • Review and Develop Policies: Review and develop selected policies and procedures, and lead staff by example in adhering to all policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Adult Care
  • Experience: Experience of management in a regulated adult care environment, ideally with CQC inspection experience or similar experience of service audit.
  • Knowledge: Knowledge of operational quality assurance or compliance audit, CQC Regulations, Standards, Key Lines of Enquiry, and GDPR.
  • Skills: Excellent communication skills, ability to analyze data, and develop action plans for quality improvement.
