Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Contractor's Responsible Engineer (CRE) to join our team in Birmingham. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the technical management and coordination of civil engineering construction design aspects on HS2 works with a focus on Temporary Works Design delivery.

Key Responsibilities

">
  • Accountability for the day-to-day technical management and coordination of the technical and engineering activity on a specific sublot for Civil Engineering Construction Design aspects where there is a Rail Interface on the BBV JV HS2 works
  • Experienced required:
  • Technical / professional engineering qualifications and training records
  • Practicing specialist in civil engineering construction of large / complex civil engineering and temporary works structures in live railway environment
  • Knowledge and experience of asset design and construction practice including compliance management knowledge and experience in procurement of sub-contractors / suppliers on railway
  • Good knowledge of railway civil engineering standards including but not restricted to NR/L2/CIV/003
  • Understanding of the CEM and CRE in NR/L2/INI/02009 Engineering Management of Projects and Temporary Works (as described in BS5975)
  • Familiar with the H&S aspects of design and construction (risk assessments)
  • Understands the requirements, roles and responsibilities with regard to CDM & CSM-RA Regulations
  • Monitoring engineering activities regarding competence, safety, environment, cost, programme, information, testing and commissioning
