We're committed to working collaboratively, using agility to achieve success, and leaving a positive impact on our customers and the environment.

Purpose of the Role

The Retail Operations Analyst will play a critical role in driving business growth and improvement by leveraging 360-degree data to undertake a comprehensive store-by-store review of performance factors. This includes identifying key issues such as unproductive stores, over-productive stores, staff transaction levels, and transaction quality.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Conduct in-depth analysis of store performance, including:
  2. Analyzing trading performance in relation to footfall levels to identify performance drivers and opportunities for improvement, collaborating with the Head of Retail Operations and Area Managers to gather insights on conversion rates, units per transaction, average selling price, and upsell performance at both the store and colleague levels.
  3. Evaluating over-productive stores where high footfall and deployed hours lead to missed sales opportunities or challenges in maximizing average transaction value.
  4. Identifying stores losing key sales personnel and assessing the impact on overall performance.
  5. Ensuring transaction quality is maximized through optimal product combinations.
  6. Creating detailed sales performance reports and conducting weekly meetings with store managers to discuss performance metrics.
  7. Assist the Retail Operations team with deployment scheduling on a periodic basis, including:
  8. Using forecasted sales, footfall, and ATV measures to optimize staff levels in stores.
  9. Enhancing store productivity and performance by aligning staffing with business needs.
  10. Providing detailed scheduling recommendations and adjustments based on data analysis.
  11. Support Retail Operations as needed with various tasks to ensure smooth and efficient store operations.

  1. Experience in a commercial role with specific analytical skills such as statistical analysis, trend forecasting, and proficiency in using data analysis software.
  2. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential.
  3. Experience with Tableau or similar data visualization tools is highly desirable and beneficial for data presentation and analysis.
About You
  1. Excellent written and verbal communication skills enabling clear and effective interactions across teams and projects.
  2. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
