Nursing Associate Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Registered Nursing Associate to join our excellent nursing team at University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust (279). As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide patient-centered and evidence-based care to our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Develop a comprehensive understanding of the nursing process and assist registered nurses in assessing, planning, managing, and evaluating patient care.
- Support individuals with daily living needs, provide person-centered care, and promote health and independence through awareness raising and care navigation.
- Perform and record clinical observations, including NEWS2 and Trust policy, and escalate as necessary.
- Undertake clinical tasks, such as cannulation, venepuncture, and ECGs, and accurately record nutritional and fluid intake.
- Maintain patient privacy, dignity, and safety at all times.
- Recognize changing priorities and seek advice from registered nurses or other registered care professionals as needed.
- Report back and share information with registered nurses on patient condition, behavior, activity, and responses.
- Essential: Qualified Nurse Associate or soon to qualify.
- Desirable: Experience working in Trauma and Orthopaedics.
- Essential: Evidence of championing diversity in previous roles and undertaking own development to improve understanding of equalities issues.
