About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Registered Nursing Associate to join our dynamic nursing team at University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust (279). As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our trust.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the nursing process and assist registered nurses in assessing, planning, managing, and evaluating patient care.
  • Support individuals with daily living needs, provide person-centered care, and promote health and independence through awareness raising and care navigation.
  • Perform and record clinical observations, including NEWS2 and Trust policy, and escalate as necessary.
  • Undertake clinical tasks, such as cannulation, venepuncture, and ECGs, and accurately record nutritional and fluid intake.
  • Maintain patient privacy, dignity, and safety at all times.
  • Recognize changing priorities and seek advice from registered nurses or other registered care professionals as needed.
  • Report back and share information with registered nurses on patient condition, behavior, activity, and responses.
Person Specification

Essential Qualifications

  • Qualified Nurse Associate or soon to qualify.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Experience of working in Trauma and Orthopaedics.
