Job Title: Support Teacher for Students with Special Educational Needs
Location: Smallfield, Surrey
Estimated Salary: £20,000 - £25,000 per annum
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of students with special educational needs (SEN) in a vibrant and inclusive school community.
- You will work as part of a dedicated team to provide tailored support to students with SEN, helping them to access the curriculum and reach their full potential.
- Develop and implement innovative strategies to engage students and promote positive attitudes towards learning.
- Build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Providing individualized support to students with SEN, including behavioral, emotional, and social support.
- Working closely with teachers to create and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) that meet the unique needs of each student.
- Monitoring and recording student progress, providing regular feedback to teachers and parents.
To be considered for this role, you should have:
- A minimum of a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent experience working with students with SEN.
- Proven experience supporting students with a range of SEN, including ASD, ADHD, and SEMH.
- Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum and related policies and procedures.
- A commitment to ongoing professional development and staying up-to-date with best practices in SEN support.
