Distribution Operations Supervisor

Thermo Fisher Scientific is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Distribution Operations Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for coordinating the day-to-day activities of the distribution center, leading and motivating your team to achieve accurate and timely processing of customer orders.
Key Responsibilities:- Coordinate and manage the day-to-day operations of the distribution center, ensuring efficient and safe working practices.
- Lead and motivate your team to achieve high levels of productivity and quality, promoting a positive and inclusive work environment.
- Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs, utilizing the Practical Process Improvement system (PPI).
- Collaborate with other departments to understand and improve the supply chain process, ensuring seamless communication and coordination.
- Identify and address training and development needs, establishing and maintaining training programs for team members.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory guidelines, and industry standards, maintaining a high level of health and safety awareness.
- Proven experience in warehouse operations, including knowledge of material handling equipment and lean methodology.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to plan and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on customer service and quality.
- Computer skills, including Microsoft applications and warehouse management systems.
