Job Title: Learning Support Assistant - Islington, London

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Learning Support Assistant to join our team in an Islington, London secondary school. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with students who require additional support, providing tailored assistance to help them achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with 5-6 students who require additional support, including those with English as an Additional Language (EAL) and Special Educational Needs (SEN)
  • Support the class teacher in lessons, providing individualized support to students as needed
  • Run intervention sessions and booster groups with pupils who require extra support
  • Be involved in running extracurricular activities, promoting a positive and inclusive school environment
  • Write reports and provide feedback to teachers, SENCO, external agencies, and parents

Requirements:

  • No previous education experience is required to apply
  • Up-to-date Safeguarding training is desirable, but not essential
  • Hold a Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
