Job Role:

The Community Outreach Assistant will be responsible for supporting individuals within their own homes or in the community, providing respite care to carers, and increasing social inclusion and life skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Social inclusion and engagement with the community
  • Sourcing activities for individuals to participate in
  • Assistance with employment or education
  • Managing challenging situations and behaviors
  • Writing accurate and factual daily reports
  • Promoting and ensuring privacy and dignity
  • Working in a team and on an individual basis
  • Assisting with budgeting and finances
  • Encouraging independence in everyday tasks such as cleaning, cooking, etc.
  • Assisting with personal care (dependent on need)

Requirements:

  • At least 6 months of care experience
  • Ideal driving license and access to a vehicle
  • Up-to-date DBS certificate
  • Willingness to travel

Salary and Benefits:

  • £25,000 - £30,000 per annum
