Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Application Services Engineer to join our team at TekWissen LLC. As an Application Services Engineer, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and performing field modifications to achieve high customer satisfaction and improve reliability.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Commissioning and Warranty of locomotives and/or coaches.
  • Troubleshooting and analysis of failures on locomotives or coaches.
  • Performing electrical and mechanical repairs of various components using mechanical drawings, schematics, and location circuit plans.
  • Using laptops with subsystem software to troubleshoot various systems onboard the locomotives.
  • Diagnosing electrical malfunctions in locomotive or coach control circuits and components, assessing the nature of problems, and identifying corrective action needed.
  • Reading, interpreting, and understanding written or electronic information to identify the root cause of failures and compiling reports for the site lead and warranty manager.
  • Understanding and following company and industry safety rules, practices, and procedures.
  • Implementing Field Modifications (FMIs) to improve the quality of our product.
  • Documenting failures, part exchanges, implementation of FMIs, and performed work in our Commissioning and Warranty database.
  • Communicating technical information, job procedures, recommendations, improvements, and other work-related information to the site lead and colleagues verbally and in writing.
  • Receiving and sending out failed parts for repair (RMA).
  • Working with shop machines and hand tools.
  • Working full-hand-on.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma (or GED).
  • Interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team.
  • Individual must possess a valid driver's license in good standing.
