Job Description:

Alchemy Global Talent Solutions Ltd. is seeking an experienced Content & Editorial Manager to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the creative process and writing/editing of content for press releases, previews, social media, and online exhibitions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Content Creation: Develop and maintain high-quality content for various platforms, including press releases, previews, social media, and online exhibitions.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with artists, studios, liaisons, and Digital and Communications management to achieve quality results.
  • Artist Biographies: Create and maintain artist biographies to populate artist pages and CVs on websites.
  • Writing Applications: Participate in writing applications for art fairs with the directors and artist liaisons.
  • Content for Handouts and Wall Vinyls: Create content for handouts and wall vinyls for the gallery.
  • Editing and Proofreading: Edit and proofread all writing for the London location of the gallery.
  • Digital Communications: Manage the website and other digital communications' written content, as well as digital invitations and newsletters.
  • Video Material: Work on video material, including communicating with the director, conducting Q&As and interviews with the artist, reviewing edits with the artist liaison, and coordinating with the Head of Digital for London on the production brief, scheduling, and sign-off.
Requirements:
  • Experience: Proven experience of working at a contemporary art institution or commercial gallery.
  • Academic Proficiency: Academic proficiency, such as writing offers for artwork dossiers.
  • Language Ability: Outstanding English language ability, writing, and editing skills.
  • Attention to Detail: A keen sense of detail and solid proofreading abilities.
