Job Title: Editorial Content Manager

Job Summary:

Alchemy Global Talent Solutions is partnering with a renowned contemporary art gallery in London to appoint an Editorial Content Manager. This role is responsible for overseeing the creative process and writing/editing of content for press releases, previews, social media, and online exhibitions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with artists, studios, liaisons, and Digital and Communications management to achieve quality results.
  • Creation and maintenance of artist biographies to populate artist pages on websites.
  • Participate in writing applications for art fairs with the directors and artist liaisons.
  • Create content for handouts and wall vinyls for the gallery.
  • Edit and proofread all writing for the gallery.
  • Manage the website and other digital communications' written content, including digital invitations and newsletters.
  • Work on video material, including communicating with the director, conducting Q&As and interviews with the artist, reviewing edits with the artist liaison, and coordinating with the Head of Digital for production briefs, scheduling, and sign-off.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience working at a contemporary art institution or commercial gallery.
  • Academic proficiency, such as writing offers for artwork dossiers.
  • Outstanding English language ability, writing, and editing skills.
  • Capacity to create readable texts for various gallery objectives.
  • A keen sense of detail and solid proofreading abilities.
