Job Title: Risk Management Director

We are now seeking an experienced Risk Management Director to join our team and contribute to our ongoing success.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive risk management framework, ensuring proactive identification, assessment, monitoring, mitigation and reporting of risks across the business.
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with the FCA and other relevant regulators, promoting transparency and collaboration through regular engagement and updates.
  • Chair the Compliance and Conduct Committee, overseeing the monitoring and tracking of actions to ensure timely resolution.
  • Analyse and interpret the impact of regulatory changes on the business, providing expert recommendations to senior stakeholders to inform decision-making.
  • Deliver subject matter expertise on regulatory developments, managing regulatory change and providing guidance on compliance, regulatory, operational and strategic matters.
  • Advise on business initiatives, programmes and projects, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and best practices.
  • Foster a culture of informed risk-taking, promoting awareness and understanding of risk management principles among staff.
  • Oversee and monitor the effectiveness of internal controls, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.

Qualifications and Skills:
  • Senior-level risk management professional with extensive experience in a brokerage firm environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of UK regulatory and compliance requirements, with expertise in interpreting and advising on regulatory practices.
  • Proven leadership and people management skills, with experience in developing and implementing strategic plans.
  • Credibility and gravitas to work effectively with the Exco and senior stakeholders, with excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrate strong thought leadership and vision, with the ability to integrate company goals, priorities and values into strategic decision-making.
  • Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and drive continuous improvement.
  • Hold SMF16 and SMF17 certifications.

Compensation:

£180,000 per annum
