Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Principal Designer and CDM Advisor to join our team. As a key member of our risk management department, you will work closely with our clients to deliver comprehensive health and safety services, including risk assessments, method statements, and construction phase plans.

About the Role:

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the CDM 2015 regulations and experience in delivering Principal Designer and CDM advisor services. You will work closely with our clients to identify and analyse risks and ensure the project delivery team mitigates them where possible.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver Principal Designer and CDM advisor services to clients in line with the CDM 2015 regulations
  • Assist clients in implementing their duties under the CDM regulations
  • Provide support to PIB Risk Management Directors to ensure delivery of Construction H&S services across the business
  • Identify and analyse risks and ensure the project delivery team mitigates them where possible
  • Prepare and review health and safety files, risk assessments, and method statements
  • Undertake site inspections and report on any gaps in construction phase plans and method statements
  • Collaborate with designers and clients to identify ways to eliminate or reduce foreseeable risks during the pre-construction phase
  • Support the Business Manager and business support team in responding to PQQs, fee bids, audits, and marketing initiatives
  • Maintain and update progress charts and fee forecasts using IT and data filing systems

Requirements:

  • Professionally qualified at Technician level, and/or working towards Chartered level (or equivalent)
  • Minimum 2/3 years' experience of working in construction and PD/CDM associated roles in line with the CDM regulations
  • Ability to meet and exceed fee targets
