As a Locum Consultant in Acute Medicine, you will be based at the Royal Gwent Hospital, responsible for delivering effective General Internal Medicine services with the support of consultant colleagues.

Main Responsibilities

  • Lead a comprehensive General Medicine and Care of the Elderly service in the region
  • Participate in the management of Adult Acute Medicine intake and sub-speciality interest
  • Support the training of medical staff, nurses, and other multidisciplinary team members
  • Provide leadership to medical trainees and multidisciplinary staff members
  • Develop Quality Improvement Processes, teaching, and research within the organisation
