Job Title: Secondary School Teacher - Newly Qualified

Job Description:

Vetro Recruitment is seeking dedicated Secondary School Newly Qualified Teachers to work in various roles across Merthyr Tydfil Local Education Authority. As a Newly Qualified Teacher, you will have the opportunity to work in a variety of settings, including Secondary schools, and will be supported by Vetro's designated NQT mentor throughout your NQT year and induction process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a classroom of learners - Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4
  • Preparing the classroom for lessons and planning schemes of work where required
  • Deliver lessons in line with the national curriculum
  • Engage learners with both classroom and lab-based activities
  • Work following the school's behavior management policies

Requirements:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status or overseas equivalent
  • Registration as a Teacher with the EWC (the Education Workforce Council) - we can help you with this
  • References covering the last two years (no gaps)
  • Hold a current Enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one
  • The right to work in the UK
