BMS Commissioning Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled BMS Commissioning Engineer to join our dynamic team at Team BMS. As a BMS Commissioning Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the commissioning of BMS systems and associated controls, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Carry out the commissioning of BMS systems, including front-end supervisors and integration.
  • Produce detailed reports, including commissioning reports, test results, and as-fitted drawings.
  • Integrate 3rd party systems into the BMS using ModBus, Mbus, or BACnet enabled devices.
  • Keep the project manager, service coordinator, or director up to date on your movements and location.
  • Keep the project manager informed on your progress and the status of the commissioning.
  • Pass information and instruction onto other engineers to maintain a site presence.
  • Return all documentation, test results, and final paperwork to the office/project manager.
  • Interact and communicate with customers, clients, and other members of staff.
  • Supervise and instruct additional trades or company personnel.
  • Produce or back-engineer software strategy.
  • Install, modify, and demonstrate supervisor graphics.
  • Advise customers on potential benefits and savings from adapting the system.
  • Quote for the replacement of faulty parts or items.
  • Carry out energy audits.
  • Provide controls and energy solutions and ideas.
  • Assist in the development of controls solutions and applications.
  • Assist in the training of junior engineers and other relevant staff.
Requirements:
  • Previous BMS experience is ideal, but open to promising candidates with an electrical background and familiarity with BMS.
  • Ability to produce precise reports.
  • Good fault-finding skills.
  • Ability to read schematic drawings.
  • Ability to identify applications.
  • Ability to highlight potential cost-saving measures.
  • Ability to carry out surveys on existing systems.
  • Full UK driving license.
