Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to provide high-quality healthcare services to offenders in a correctional institution. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for assessing offenders' health problems and needs, preparing and administering prescribed medications, and initiating emergency interventions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess offenders' health problems and needs
  • Prepare and administer prescribed medications
  • Initiate emergency interventions and first aid measures
  • Develop and implement medical/nursing guidelines
  • Provide training and education to staff and offenders
Requirements
  • Graduated from an accredited School of Nursing program
  • Valid unrestricted Virginia RN license or multi-state compact license
  • Certified Basic Life Support (BLS) for health care providers
  • Experience working in corrections or law enforcement environment
  • Experience working with mental health patients
