About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Conference Producer to join our team at Port Technology International - PTI. As a Senior Conference Producer, you will be responsible for managing multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines, and delivering results.

The maritime industry is a crucial part of the global economy, and ports and terminals play a vital role in the safe passage of goods across supply chains. The rapid technological advancements in this industry create opportunities for growth and innovation.

At PTI, we deliver virtual and physical conferences, webinars, a leading journal, and a world No 1 website. Our journal provides a technical preview and review of advanced technologies for ports, harbours, and terminals worldwide. Each edition features over 30 technical papers written by leading industry professionals, reflecting emerging trends and technical advances that enhance efficiency and productivity.

Main Responsibilities
  • Conducting in-depth research on market trends, challenges, and solutions via research calls and face-to-face meetings.
  • Developing conference programs, event formats, and agendas, as well as identifying key partnerships.
  • Identifying, inviting, and confirming high-level speakers and moderators for each event.
  • Researching and developing commercial strategies through calls, face-to-face meetings, and collaborations with sales representatives.
  • Analyzing audience categories and pricing strategies for delegate management.
  • Writing and delivering event briefs for marketing and sales teams.
  • Generating marketing copy for email, social, print, and video channels.
  • Overseeing post-event analysis and writing comprehensive post-event reports.
Requirements
  • Experience in creating and delivering international B2B conferences.
  • Understanding of sponsorship formats and deliverables across events.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, especially on the telephone.
  • Office experience and sound knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight timescales.
  • Positive work ethic, can-do attitude, and plenty of initiative and willingness to learn.
  • Excellent telephone etiquette and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to work well in a team but also take initiative to work independently.
