About the Role

University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Radiographer to join our team in the Cross Sectional Imaging Department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality imaging services using MRI and CT scanners. Your expertise in neuroangiography will be invaluable in supporting our team in delivering an efficient and effective service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality imaging services using MRI and CT scanners
  • Work closely with the imaging team to ensure efficient and effective service delivery
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with colleagues and other healthcare professionals
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to maintain and enhance skills and knowledge
  • Contribute to the development of protocols and procedures to improve service delivery
Person Specification

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Diagnostic Radiographer who possesses the following qualities:

  • HCPC registration
  • Considerable postgraduate experience of working in a department using IR(ME)R 2017 and IRR 2017 regulations in clinical practice
  • Appropriate BSc Radiography degree
  • Team player who can also work independently
  • Able to work within protocols
  • Sound knowledge of all areas of Governance including H& S, COSHH, Manual Handling
  • Experience of teaching, mentoring, and supporting colleagues training and development
  • Proven ability to effectively adapt imaging technique when necessary
  • Effective verbal, non-verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize workload
  • Previous supervisory/team leading experience
  • Evidence of continuing professional development
  • Quality assurance supervision and practice
  • Appropriate post qualification experience in imaging
  • Evidence of personal and professional development
  • Relevant clinical courses
  • Knowledge of other departments works practice with which radiology has a significant interface
