About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and ambitious radiographer or technologist to join our team as a Superintendent Radiographer. As a key member of our nuclear medicine department, you will be responsible for managing and leading the unit, providing technical expertise, and ensuring the highest standards of patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and lead the nuclear medicine department, ensuring efficient and effective operations.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to staff, ensuring high-quality imaging and patient care.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with radiation protection regulations.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of services.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of new imaging technologies and techniques.
Requirements
  • Degree in Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent qualification.
  • Current HCPC, AHCS, or RCT registration.
  • Sound knowledge of radiation protection regulations, including IR(ME)R 2018 and IRR 17.
  • Evidence of advanced nuclear medicine imaging knowledge.
  • Knowledge of radionuclide therapies and associated risks.
  • Considerable post-qualification experience and expertise in plain imaging.
  • Extensive knowledge of guidelines relating to clinical specialist areas.
  • Sound knowledge of all areas of governance and trust policies.
  • Previous management/supervisory experience.
