About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Radiography professional to join our team as a Lead Superintendent Radiographer. This is an exciting opportunity to lead our Central Radiology service and contribute to the delivery of high-quality imaging services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Central Radiology team and provide direction to staff
  • Manage resources to provide an effective and efficient imaging service
  • Provide expert advice on specialist equipment and promote excellence in planar and fluoroscopy imaging
  • Supervise, inspire, and educate radiographers and students
  • Ensure day-to-day operational management and contribute to the development of the service
Person Specification
  • Essential:
    • Degree in Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent qualification
    • Postgraduate certificate in an area of clinical specialism and/or management
    • Current HCPC registration
    • Evidence of advanced planar radiography, fluoroscopy, and interventional imaging knowledge
    • Formal management/supervisory training
    • Radiology Information System Superuser
    • Radiation Protection Supervisor course
  • Desirable:
    • MSc. Medical Imaging in an area of clinical specialism and/or management
    • Trust Intermediate management or supervisory course
