Job Overview

As a key member of our department, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the radiotherapy unit, leading a team of radiographers, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Main Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management: Lead a team of radiographers, providing guidance, support, and direction to ensure the smooth operation of the radiotherapy unit.
  • Patient Care: Ensure the well-being and care of patients during their radiotherapy treatment, working closely with other healthcare professionals to provide a comprehensive and compassionate service.
  • Treatment Planning and Delivery: Calculate and record radiotherapy treatments accurately, ensuring that patients receive the correct dosage and treatment plan.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other departments and teams to ensure seamless communication and coordination of patient care.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Degree in Therapeutic Radiography or Diploma of College of Radiographers, with registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Experience: Proven experience in radiotherapy, with a strong understanding of modern radiotherapy techniques and equipment.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
