Nurse (Safeguarding and Children in Care)

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nurse to join our Senior Safeguarding team as a Named Nurse for Safeguarding and Children in Care. This is an exciting opportunity for a professional who is passionate about safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people, and vulnerable adults.
The successful candidate will lead and manage our Warrington Safeguarding Children and CIC teams, ensuring that our practitioners have access to safeguarding training and advice. They will also contribute to the achievement of our Directorate/Trust business plan targets and objectives with regard to safeguarding.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage Warrington Safeguarding Children and CIC teams
- Ensure that all staff have an awareness and understanding of current safeguarding procedures
- Facilitate an environment of reflection and inquiry to optimize learning
- Take the lead on preparation and collation of evidence for quality schedule submissions
- Work closely with the Director and Heads of Safeguarding and the Named Nurse for Safeguarding and Children in Care in Halton
- Implement the Safeguarding Children Strategy in conjunction with the Senior Safeguarding team
- Plan, monitor, and implement the Safeguarding Audit programme
- Complete a range of safeguarding-related reviews
- Post-registration experience working with children and families in a community setting
- Experience of working within the safeguarding setting
- Registered Nurse with the NMC
- Post-registration qualification in Safeguarding Children
- Evidence of post-basic continuing professional development in Safeguarding
- Experience of assessing and reporting on the health needs of Looked After Children
- Specialist Practice Qualification, Health Visitor, School Nurse, or Public Health Nurse
- Safeguarding supervisor trained/experience
