About The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Regional Sales Manager to join our team at PHS Group Limited. As a Regional Sales Manager, you will be responsible for growing and protecting existing customer accounts, acquiring new customers across your regional territory, and developing a strategic plan to protect, grow, and acquire business in a defined territory.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Grow and protect existing customer accounts by delivering exceptional customer service and identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.
  • Acquire new customers across your regional territory by developing and executing a targeted sales strategy.
  • Develop a strategic plan to protect, grow, and acquire business in a defined territory by analyzing market trends, customer needs, and competitor activity.
  • Accurately forecast and deliver against new business and retention targets by using data analytics and sales performance metrics.
  • Use the CRM system to effectively record, manage, and develop opportunities by tracking customer interactions, sales pipeline, and conversion rates.
  • Focus on the effectiveness, efficiency, and quality of sales activity by measuring key performance indicators such as closing ratios, lead-to-contract ratios, and DMC ratios.
  • Always look for ways to improve the sales process and the way things are done by identifying areas for process improvement and implementing changes.
  • Focus on the root cause of problems and help identify ways to solve the problem for customers or to improve profitability by analyzing customer feedback and sales data.
  • Identify customer needs and requirements so that appointments have high potential of converting to a sale by understanding customer pain points and developing targeted sales strategies.
  • Understand one's own performance, including key metrics of the role, and how this can be improved by tracking personal sales performance and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Support the Head of Regional Sales to promote a culture of excellence in respect of customer service, quality, and improvement by providing feedback and suggestions for improvement.
  • Use targeted campaigns and industry knowledge gained to unlock the growth potential in the market by developing and executing targeted sales strategies.
  • Work closely with the wider front-line team and establish a collaborative approach to sales activity by communicating effectively and building strong relationships with colleagues.
The Right Person for the Role

The right person for this role will be a field-based salesperson with experience in developing a sales strategy to protect, grow, and acquire business from existing and new customers across multiple industries. This is a fast-paced, targeted role, so you must work effectively in this type of environment.

Skills and Knowledge Required
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and colleagues.
  • A commercially savvy thinker, with the ability to analyze market trends and customer needs.
  • Outstanding sales conversion techniques, with the ability to identify and capitalize on opportunities.
  • Previous experience working as part of a B2B field-based sales team, with a proven track record of delivering against new business growth targets.
  • Knowledge of the compliance and electrical industry, although full training will be given.
  • Proven experience of using a CRM system, with the ability to track customer interactions and sales pipeline.
  • High energy and pace, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Thrives in a high-pressure sales environment, with the ability to manage stress and maintain a positive attitude.
  • Is resilient and tenacious in their approach to winning new business, with the ability to overcome obstacles and achieve goals.
  • Strong understanding of the sales process required in a business-to-business environment, with the ability to analyze and improve sales performance.
  • High professional and personal standards, with the ability to maintain a high level of integrity and ethics.
  • Can be decisive and resilient, with the ability to make tough decisions and adapt to changing circumstances.
