HR Business Partner Opportunity

This is a fantastic chance for an experienced HR professional to join our client's team as an HR Business Partner. The role is based in York and is a two-year fixed-term contract.

The HR Business Partner will play a key part in ensuring the organisation's people are at the heart of all its work. They will strategically support the business to empower, skill, and dedicate the workforce to achieving key priorities through a culture of continuous improvement.

The role involves providing proactive and consultative HR support that facilitates the delivery of the people agenda, including organisational culture and colleague engagement, talent acquisition, reward and benefits, organisational change programmes, and organisational performance.

The HR Business Partner will advise on employment law and best practice, coach managers on day-to-day HR matters spanning the employee lifecycle, including complex employee relations issues, attendance management, talent acquisition, and performance management.

This role requires a deep understanding of employment law, excellent project management skills, and the ability to provide expert advice and guidance on complex HR matters.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide proactive and consultative HR support to facilitate the delivery of the people agenda.
  • Advise on employment law and best practice.
  • Coach managers on day-to-day HR matters.
  • Support the Head of People to deliver an effective, modern, and innovative embedded people function.
Requirements:
  • Qualified to level 5 CIPD (minimum) and/or significant experience in a generalist HR role.
  • An understanding of the financial implications of people costs and how 'value' is created through staffing resource.
  • Demonstrable understanding of, and commitment to equality, diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Demonstrable experience on TUPE and redundancy processes, an in-depth understanding of the Transfer of Undertakings (Protection of Employment) Regulations 2006 (TUPE) and its amendments.
