About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Registered Mental Health Nurse or Registered Nurse in Learning Disabilities Paediatrics or Adult to join our multidisciplinary team working with deaf children and their families in the North of England.

Main Responsibilities
  • Carry out assessments and use evidence-based practice and interventions when working with children and young people experiencing mental health difficulties.
  • Work collaboratively with Interpreters, Specialist Deaf Outreach Workers, Administrators, Psychologists, Social Workers, Mental Health Nurses, Consultant Psychiatrists, and Managers.
  • Develop and implement care plans, manage safeguarding concerns, and conduct mental health risk assessments and management.
Requirements
  • Registered Mental Health Nurse or Registered Nurse in Learning Disabilities Paediatrics or Adult, BSc/degree/SW Dip/AMHP or other professional registered qualification.
  • BSL qualification or willingness to learn BSL skills.
  • Significant experience within mental health, excellent clinical skills, and experience of working with children, young people, family members, and other professionals.
