Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Family Therapist to join our team at the North Staffordshire Combined Healthcare NHS Trust. As a Systemic Intervention Expert, you will be responsible for delivering a full range of family treatments to patients, including systemic psychotherapy interventions.

The successful candidate will participate in assessments of patients referred for treatment and consult with multi-disciplinary and multi-agency colleagues regarding the family treatment component of each patient's care.

You will work in partnership with other disciplines and maintain links with statutory and non-statutory agencies as appropriate. Your duties will include providing appropriate care for clients not engaged in treatment, conducting risk assessments and risk management, and supervising others in the field of systemic therapy.

To excel in this role, you will need to possess a strong understanding of systemic approaches to treatment, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work autonomously within professional guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver a full range of family treatments to patients, including systemic psychotherapy interventions
  • Participate in assessments of patients referred for treatment and consult with multi-disciplinary and multi-agency colleagues
  • Work in partnership with other disciplines and maintain links with statutory and non-statutory agencies
  • Conduct risk assessments and risk management for individual clients
  • Supervise others in the field of systemic therapy

Requirements:

  • UKCP registered Family Therapist
  • Previous experience as a Senior Systemic/Family Psychotherapist working in a related healthcare or social care setting

Salary: £45,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience
