About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Laboratory Technician to join our Cell and Gene Therapy Service at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for contributing to the optimisation and validation of GMP manufacturing processes, participating in the manufacturing of ATMP products, and validating QC tests relevant to ATMP manufacture.

Main Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of GMP manufacturing processes
  • Participate in the manufacturing of ATMP products for clinical trials
  • Validate QC tests relevant to ATMP manufacture
  • Write and implement new BMRs, SOPs, and worksheets
  • Accurately complete GMP documentation related to manufacturing, storage, and shipment of ATMPs
  • Ensure compliance with UK MHRA GMP and GCP regulations
  • Contribute to the overall activities of the research team and department as required

Requirements

  • BSc in Medical Laboratory Science or equivalent
  • Experience of working in a CPA/UKAS accredited laboratory or related translational laboratory
  • Understanding of GMP and GCP regulations
  • Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills
