About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Biomedical Scientist to join our team in the Histopathology department at Barts Health NHS Trust. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing technical support to our histology service, working closely with our team of scientists and doctors to deliver high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing technical support to the histology service, including specimen preparation, staining, and reporting.
  • Working closely with our team of scientists and doctors to deliver high-quality patient care.
  • Developing and maintaining laboratory procedures and protocols to ensure compliance with UKAS and HCPC accreditation standards.
  • Collaborating with other departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination of patient care.

Requirements

  • IBMS Accredited BSc Biomedical Science degree.
  • Completed IBMS specialist portfolio.
  • Registration with the HCPC as a biomedical scientist.
  • Proven experience post HCPC registration in a Cellular Pathology laboratory.
  • Experience of working with Laboratory Information Management Systems.
