**Job Overview**

The Emotion Regulation Specialist plays a pivotal role in the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) team, providing support and interventions to children and adolescents with emotional and behavioural challenges.

This position involves skill-building work with parents around co-regulation to enhance family dynamics. The specialist's expertise contributes to helping individuals and their families build emotional resilience and improve overall well-being.

We operate between 8am and 8pm Monday to Saturday, requiring availability of 2 late shifts per week, including some Saturdays.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Parental Skill Building: Conduct sessions with parents to teach co-regulation strategies, enhancing their ability to support their children's emotional well-being.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the wider Getting Help team to ensure coordinated care and intervention strategies.
  • Progress Monitoring: Maintain accurate records of client interactions, assessments, and interventions, adhering to CAMHS guidelines and legal requirements.

**Requirements:** The ideal candidate possesses previous experience working with children and adolescents, ideally in a therapeutic or behaviour management setting, with qualifications such as a level 4 qualification in a relevant field.
