Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Educational Assistant to join our team. As an Educational Assistant, you will provide vital support to teachers and students in a primary school setting.
About the Role
The successful candidate will assist teachers with lesson preparation and delivery, work with individual students or small groups to provide targeted support, and help maintain a safe and engaging learning environment. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about education and has experience working with children.
Key Responsibilities
- Support Teachers in Lesson Preparation and Delivery: Assist teachers with preparing materials, delivering lessons, and assessing student progress.
- Provide Targeted Support to Students: Work with individual students or small groups to provide additional support and guidance outside of the regular classroom environment.
- Maintain a Safe and Engaging Learning Environment: Help create a positive and inclusive atmosphere within the classroom, ensuring that all students feel valued and supported.
- Assist with Administrative Tasks: Prepare materials, manage classroom resources, and perform other administrative tasks as required.
- Supervise Students During Break Times and Outings: Ensure the safety and well-being of students during break times, outings, and other activities.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Previous Experience as a Teaching Assistant: A minimum of 6 months' experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a UK primary school is essential.
- Strong Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required to build strong relationships with teachers, students, and parents.
- Ability to Work Effectively as Part of a Team: A collaborative approach and ability to work effectively as part of a team are essential in this role.
- Patient, Empathetic, and Positive Attitude: A patient, empathetic, and positive attitude is required to work effectively with students and staff.
- Flexibility and Adaptability: The ability to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities is essential in this fast-paced educational environment.
Salary Information
The estimated salary for this role is £22,000-£25,000 per annum, depending on experience.
