About the Role

GSL Education is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Physical Education Teacher to join our team of educators. As a Physical Education Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and accessible Physical Education lessons to students across Key stages 3, 4, and 5.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality Physical Education lessons that promote physical activity, teamwork, and personal development.
  • Ensure that all students, regardless of their abilities, feel included and supported.
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that cater to the needs of students with diverse learning styles and abilities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement Physical Education programs that align with the school's curriculum and goals.
  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to monitor student progress and adjust instruction accordingly.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in Physical Education and incorporate best practices into your teaching.
Requirements
  • A recognized UK teaching qualification, such as a PGCE or equivalent, with a specialism in Physical Education.
  • A degree in Sports Science, Physical Education, or a related field is preferred.
  • Prior experience teaching GCSE and BTEC Physical Education.
  • Strong understanding of physical education curriculum requirements, sports coaching techniques, and fitness principles.
  • Experience working in SEN settings or with students who have additional needs is desirable.
  • A strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies, with the ability to follow school procedures and ensure student safety.
  • An Enhanced DBS registered to the update service. GSL Education can offer DBS sponsorship.
