Financial Support Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Support Specialist to join our team at Bell Contracts & Co Ltd. Our company operates throughout the UK and Ireland, providing construction, property redevelopment, and refurbishment services across various sectors.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced office environment, assisting with financial processes and ensuring accurate record keeping. As a Financial Support Specialist, you will be responsible for:
- Matching and reviewing invoices to delivery notes and orders
- Processing invoices to our accounts package, Sage 50
- Reconciling creditor statements at month-end
In addition, you will prepare the month-end supplier payment run, process journals to the nominal ledgers, reconcile nominal ledger balances, and bank and credit card statement reconciliations. You will also deal with supplier and staff queries, resolving invoice discrepancies and ensuring timely payment or querying of invoices due for payment.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- At least 12 months' previous experience in an accounts role
- Essential experience with Sage 50
- Desirable experience in the Construction Sector
You should possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, and be proficient in Microsoft packages, including Outlook, Word, and Excel. Ability to work in a busy office environment, prioritizing workload, and meeting deadlines is essential.
