We are seeking an exceptional leader to head our well-established Construction Materials Department at our laboratories in Clapham, London. This senior position reports directly to the Managing Partner.

The ideal candidate will be an expert in construction materials testing with extensive experience and in-depth knowledge of concrete. Strong report writing skills, practical approach, and ability to handle multiple live projects simultaneously are essential. Excellent English language proficiency is required for written and verbal communication.

This role involves managing and guiding a team of six staff members in the department. The key responsibilities include advising on and overseeing the testing of various construction materials, including concretes, aggregates, renders, mortars, stone, brick, screeds, and flooring materials (including slip resistance testing). On-site, laboratory, and sample collection tasks are integral to this role.
