Mental Health Liaison Specialist for Children and Adolescent Services

">We are seeking a skilled Mental Health Liaison Practitioner to join our dynamic team at Gloucestershire Health and Care NHS Foundation Trust. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children and young people by providing comprehensive mental health liaison and assessment services.
">About the Role
">The successful applicant will be responsible for delivering evidence-based psychological interventions to individual patients aged 11-17 who have predominantly self-harmed, as well as offering an assessment service to individual patients presenting at hospital departments with a broad range of mental health and psychological needs.
">Main Responsibilities

- Provide mental health consultations, liaison, and advice services throughout hospital departments;">
- Deliver a range of psychological interventions to individual patients aged 11-17;">
- Assist and support general hospital colleagues in making decisions about care and treatment in complex situations;">
- Represent mental health services within Hospitals Trust;">
- Communicate effectively between secondary mental health services, primary care, and non-statutory services;">
Requirements
">To be considered for this role, applicants must have a professional qualification in Health or Social Care (e.g., RNLD, RMHN, OT, MHSW) and demonstrate current registration with a regulated professional body/organisation (e.g., NMC, HCPC). Applicants should also possess significant post-qualifying experience of working with children and young people with severe and enduring mental illness, as well as knowledge of current national guidelines and policies in CAMHS/Children & Young People.
">Salary Information
">The salary for this position is approximately £38,890 - £44,036 per annum, depending on experience.
