About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Security Expert to join our team at ENGINEERINGUK. As a Senior Cybersecurity Specialist, you will play a key role in helping our customers build comprehensive security models and transform how they secure their sensitive workloads in the cloud.

Key Responsibilities

  • You will work closely with customers to understand their security and compliance requirements and propose tailored security solutions to meet their needs.
  • You will have hands-on technical expertise in building AWS cloud security capabilities in code and deploying infrastructure in code.
  • You will collaborate with AWS engineering, support and business teams to convey partner and customer feedback as input to AWS technology roadmaps.
  • You will help customers migrate existing applications and develop new applications using AWS cloud services.
  • You will be responsible for developing tools, services, and new artefacts that help others build on the work you deliver.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in IT security, compliance and risk management, including privacy, controls, etc.
  2. Significant experience working with security reference architectures for all-in cloud deployments and/or hybrid scenarios.
  3. Strong understanding of architectural implications of meeting industry standards such as ISO 27001, UK Official.
  4. Hands-on technical expertise in building AWS cloud security capabilities in code and deploying infrastructure in code.
  5. Implementation experience with enterprise security solutions such as WAF, IPS, Anti-DDOS, and SIEM.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Experience in supporting internal and external customers and drawing out critical customer needs.
  2. Experience building enterprise security strategy for cloud adoption or driving the program's evolution to meet new requirements.
  3. AWS Certifications, e.g. AWS Solutions Architect Associate, Security Specialty.
  4. Strong verbal and written communications skills and ability to lead effectively across organisations.
  5. Understanding of enterprise risk management methods and techniques to drive successful outcomes in complex public sector or highly regulated organisations.
  6. Degree or equivalent experience; Computer Science or Math background preferred.

Estimated Salary: £85,000 - £110,000 per annum
