Job Overview

We are Coyle Personnel plc, a leading recruitment agency, and we have a fantastic opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to join our Rail team in Exeter or Swindon.

This role involves working on various frameworks for Network Rail, including concrete repairs, drainage works, ground stabilisation, track works and structural changes. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a critical role in delivering complex projects that drive business success and contribute to some of the industry's largest infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all costs related to infrastructure projects, identifying commercial risks and opportunities in respect of their works.
  • Support senior team members in delivering varied commercial duties, including procuring and managing supply chain.
  • Optimise commercial performance through diligent cost control and value for money opportunities, achieving required standards and quality for customers.
  • Assist with commercial relationships to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide support and adherence to the Gated Business Lifecycle process.
  • Utilise the company's ERP System and BMS systems.
  • Maintain a Personal Development Plan.

Requirements:

  • A currently held or working towards a BSc or MSc in Quantity Surveying or equivalent experience.
  • Experience of infrastructure projects with resilience and determination to succeed.

Desirable Qualities/Experience:

  • An organised, innovative and creative Quantity Surveyor.
  • Previous experience of managing costs and maximising value.
  • Previous experience of financial and commercial control within a project.
  • Experience of procuring and managing supply chain.
  • Experience of working as part of commercial teams.
  • Membership of or working towards RICS.
  • Proven record of working to deadlines, working efficiently and to a high standard.

Estimated Salary: £45,000 - £60,000 per annum.
