As a Technical Authority, you will lead a cross-discipline team to specify, build, and deliver cutting-edge embedded systems for various domains, including Electronic Warfare, IP Communications Systems, and Intelligence Surveillance & Reconnaissance (ISR). Your responsibilities will include:

  • Product and project technical leadership, guiding the architectural design of complex engineering solutions.
  • Contributing to the generation of technical proposals, bids, and supporting internal review, governance, and sign-off.
  • Leading and influencing other members of the Engineering, Project Management, and Commercial teams to achieve a common goal.
  • Guiding and mentoring engineers to support skills development within the wider team.

We are looking for an experienced senior-level engineer with a degree in Electronics, Communications, Computer Science, or a similar field. You should have experience leading and delivering projects and products, as well as leading teams and influencing others. An enthusiasm for working with new emerging technologies and solving challenges using creative and innovative solutions is essential.

Desirable skills and experience include:

  • Electronic Warfare product experience.
  • Communications and communication protocols (AM, FM, GSM, 4G/5G, etc.).
  • RF design, analysis, or modeling.
  • IP networking and associated standards.
  • DSP techniques and application.
  • Machine Learning, including using frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras.
  • Experience bidding and working within defense or government research.
  • Published research papers or patents.
