Position Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Engineering Authority to join our dynamic team in Tewkesbury, UK. This role is pivotal in steering the development and execution of innovative projects within the realms of Electronic Warfare and advanced communication systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership across various projects, guiding a multidisciplinary team in the design and implementation of state-of-the-art embedded systems.
  • Influence the architectural framework of intricate engineering solutions, integrating knowledge from diverse fields such as analogue and digital electronics, RF, FPGA, and software development.
  • Contribute to the formulation of technical proposals and support internal governance processes.
  • Collaborate with engineering, project management, and commercial teams to align objectives and achieve project goals.
  • Mentor and develop engineering talent within the organization, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A degree in Electronics, Communications, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience in leading engineering projects and teams.
  • A passion for exploring emerging technologies and applying innovative solutions to complex challenges.
  • The capability to conduct independent research utilizing publicly available resources.

Desirable Skills

Specialized knowledge in one or more of the following areas is advantageous:

  • Experience with Electronic Warfare systems.
  • Understanding of communication protocols and RF design.
  • Familiarity with IP networking standards and DSP techniques.
  • Experience in machine learning frameworks.
  • Background in defense or government research.
