Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Refuse and Recycling Driver/Chargehand to join our Streetscene Service team at Hull City Council.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive and maintain a range of refuse and recycling collection vehicles.
  • Supervise, mentor, direct, and monitor a crew to provide a reliable and efficient refuse collection service to residents and businesses in Hull.
  • Ensure the completion of daily schedules, related paperwork, and relay information regarding unresolved problems, crew performance, and changes to trade contracts.
  • Contribute to the Council's statutory recycling targets and departmental objectives by providing a statutory refuse service to public and trade customers.
