Personal Assistant (Reablement Services) Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Personal Assistant to join our team in Reablement services with Rochdale Council. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting adults in our community to regain independence and improve their quality of life.

About the Role:

  1. Deliver tailored care and support to service users in their homes and communities, promoting independence and choice.
  2. Administer medication in line with prescribed guidelines and service policies.
  3. Keep accurate records of care provided, including financial transactions related to service user activities.
  4. Support service users in managing their own finances where appropriate.
  5. Ensure a safe environment, responding to emergencies in accordance with health and safety policies.

What We're Looking For:

  1. NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care (essential).
  2. Full UK Driver's License and access to a car (essential) as travel across the borough is required.
  3. A flexible approach to working hours, including the ability to work evenings and weekends.
  4. Strong communication skills, with the ability to converse at ease with members of the public and provide advice in clear, accurate English.

  • This post is subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
