About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced General Manager to join our team at Tenpin. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of our centre, including the development and growth of our people, sales, and profits.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop a culture that ensures consistent excellence in customer service and experience.
  • Develop the business through proactive local sales promotions and the effective delivery of centrally developed products and promotions.
  • Produce an annual business plan for the business, identifying key areas for growth and financial improvement, in liaison with the Regional Manager.
  • Ensure rigorous systems of financial control and management are in place, and that all key financial targets are met.
  • Create a professional working environment that fosters the development of all team members, through adequate training, regular appraisals, and fair and consistent management.
  • Be fully involved in the delivery of the corporate strategy and provide effective feedback to the Executive Team as appropriate.
  • Provide a safe and secure environment for both staff and customers.
  • Provide support to the team on the centre floor when required.
  • Lead from the front and support the team on departments when necessary.
  • Ensure the unit is self-sufficient with regards to sickness, holiday, vacancies, and any other required cover.
  • Ensure the rota is adhered to by all Management.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience within a hands-on general manager role, ideally within the leisure or hospitality industry.
  • Experience in leading and developing large teams.
  • Experience in optimising revenue and overall business performance.
  • Full of determination, enthusiasm, and patience.
  • Fully flexible and highly adaptable to change.
