Job Summary

GLL is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pool Trainer to join our team in Bath and North East Somerset. As a Pool Trainer, you will play a key role in delivering training sessions to lifeguards at Keynsham Leisure Centre, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties safely and effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain a high level of professionalism and provide a welcoming and helpful service to staff and the public.
  • Ensure the safety and control of staff within training sessions and enforce relevant regulations applicable to the centre's operation.
  • Assist with the induction of new lifeguard staff as required by the General Manager.
  • Understand and follow the Safeguarding Policy and Procedure and Behaviour policy.
  • Record and complete relevant records in line with expected standards, ensuring lifeguards are competent for pool duty.
  • Train to the standard set within the product manual to ensure a consistent approach throughout all centres.

Requirements

  • RLSS NPLQ Generation 10 Trainer/Assessor qualification.
  • Ability to deliver Pool Extraction Board and AED training.
  • Knowledge of health, safety, and other relevant legislation.
  • Understanding of Child Protection Policy.
